Fashion’s heavy hitters flocked to the streets of Manhattan over the last few weeks, showcasing their chicest, most notice-me-fashion-photog looks. The biannual event known as New York Fashion Week features runway presentations from some of the world’s best designers. Amazing fashion graces not only the catwalk, but also the streets outside the runways thanks to fashion industry elites and off duty models. The first street style trend that caught my eye was the standout skirts.
A sequin mermaid pencil skirt toned down with a cotton emerald sweatshirt.
This Comme des Garcons skirt has so much personality. Plus, the shoes its paired with are to die for.
Olivia Palermo almost always gets it right. This textured, taupe mini with rope tie is surprisingly flattering and chic.
Another ruffled mini in a beautiful, textured metallic fabric. I love the pairing with a classic oxford shirt and pointy heels.
A graphic black and white full circle skirt with contrasting textures. The shoes are killer too.
The queen of New York street style Taylor Tomasi Hill. Love the shape (another full circle) and textured of this skirt.
Stay tuned for a few of my other street style favorites later this week.
