After starting a new job last week, all I wanted was a low-key weekend. I did some organizing and catching up on things around the apartment before heading to the beach on Saturday. One of my best friends just moved back to L.A. after living in New York for a year, so I spent the day with her.
The post-Labor Day beaches were free of crowds. Our group laid out under umbrellas and played beach volleyball. I spent a lot of time playing with the dogs – two french bulldogs and a puppy boxer (so adorable!). My friend was quick to remind me how grateful we should feel to live in a place where we can go to the beach in September in beautiful weather (I think she’s done with NYC for good).
I have worn this outfit quite a bit lately. It feels like the perfect mix of comfy, cool and cute – appropriate for any occasion. The ensemble was ideal for my week off when I was walking around, shopping and meeting up with friends and family to go out for lunch and dinner/drinks.
