Summer is flying by. I can’t believe it’s already the middle of August. I am not quite ready for the warm weather, long bright days and pool parties/BBQs to end, but I am eager to start transitioning my wardrobe for fall. I’m ready to put neons and brightly colored clothes aside to make room for some rich neutrals and jewel tones. Denim cutoffs and lightweight dresses and tanks will go into drawers, making way for printed pants, chunky sweaters and tailored jeans. Most importantly, it’s time to add some fresh fall footwear into the closet mix.
High on my fall wish list are loafers, for their androgynous charm and sophistication, open toe platforms that look perfect with black tights and animal print heels – leopard the new neutral and python for a pop of sexy print. My other fall must-haves are midi heels, which are ideal for work and boots and booties with suede or buckle accents. I love the tall, flat, modern riding boots with suede panels and the chunky booties that can be worn with anything. Lastly, I’m craving sparkly heels that will make a statement at every holiday event.
