I’m not a big fan of shorts. I just don’t find them as flattering or comfortable as skirts and dresses. However, on a rare occasion I will wear them. When I do they tend to be dressy shorts (think black silk), and I always wear them with heels. This may be why the short suit has grown on me. The polished look caught my eye months ago, first when I saw the hot pink style from Jenni Kayne SS’12 and a stripped version on fashion editor Joanna Hilman during NYFW, and then again on the red carpet worn by Amanda Seyfried.
Once the weather gets warmer, I think I will be giving the short suit a try. While I like the matchy matchy look for an already nontraditional cut, I will most likely be mixing and matching pieces for a less formal, more wearable style (i.e. the leopard, printed knit and black sequin short pairings below).

What do you think of the short suit? Have you or will you be trying this look? Hope you are all having a fabulous week!
